Why this exists, and what it won’t do

One instrument, on purpose

Candle Decoder teaches the Dow Jones Industrial Average — traded as US30 — and nothing else. Not because other markets don’t matter, but because one index watched closely produces a better trader than twenty watched loosely. US30 has its own session rhythm, its own reaction to US data, its own tendency to trend or range at particular hours. Learning that specific behaviour is the actual curriculum here, not generic chart theory with US30 examples bolted on.

What this site will not claim

  • No win rates. Any specific win-rate figure, quoted without the reward-to-risk it was earned at and the sample size behind it, is close to meaningless — and usually a sales tactic.
  • No signals sold as certainties. Where trade ideas are shared, the reasoning is shown alongside them, not instead of them.
  • No invented numbers. Where this site cites a statistic about itself, it is the actual figure — computed, not estimated.

How the lessons are actually built

Every candlestick example in the Academy is a specific, checkable set of numbers — an open, high, low and close — chosen to demonstrate one property correctly, not picked for how a chart happened to look. Where the same shape is used more than once (a lesson and its glossary entry, for example), it’s the identical data reused deliberately, so the two can never quietly contradict each other.

Quiz answers are graded on substance, not position — options are shuffled rather than always listing the correct one first. Getting something wrong once costs nothing; getting it wrong repeatedly is worth less than getting it right the first time. The goal is for a completed lesson and a high score to actually mean the same thing.

Who’s behind it

Candle Decoder is built and maintained by a small, US30-focused team rather than a large publisher. That focus is deliberate: it’s the same reasoning as teaching one instrument instead of many — a small team that only works on this does it more carefully than a large one that works on everything.

Risk, and how to reach us

Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Nothing on this site — in the Academy, on the dashboard, or in any breakdown — constitutes financial advice.

Found an error in a lesson, or have a question this page didn’t answer? info@candledecoder.com reaches a real person, not a form.
